Nathan Palmer is a sound designer and multimedia composer based in South Wales (Cardiff), UK. Nathan's passion for sound started at the age of 12 where he first started to play and compose pieces for the guitar and percussive instruments. After studying music in depth at GCSE. Nathan then went on to study music technology (Hereford College of Technology) and sound technology (University of Glamorgan). During these periods Nathan developed technical skills in sound production and also established a passion for sound design and composition for multimedia applications.
During his time at university Nathan collaborated with motion designers and animation artists to enhance their stories with his music and sound design. These projects led to Nathan being in charge of the audio (sound effects, in game music and trailer music) for a Windows 7 Phone game, "Plunder in the Jungle" in 2011.
Towards the end of university (2012), Nathan composed background music and the theme for the Moore Show, a chat show which was broadcasted on Sky's Showcase TV. Nathan has recently developed skills in FMOD and was also hired to design sound for a Nokia video(2013).
Nathan is a level one certified professional in Apple's Logic Pro software and holds an incredibly strong passion for expressing and enhancing stories through audio. Combining this passion with technical ability, experimentation and real/synthetic resources enables Nathan to create original and interesting sonic material for multimedia applications.
